I have personally experienced the unfair, discriminatory treatment of the employees at OneMain financial. It is a cut throat environment where managers allow employees to basically fight over loans. You call in and work with a specialist who has all of your information and has communicated with you only to find out the next day that your loan has been transferred to another specialist or branch. What??
Employees are allowed to go in and accept applications and assign them to themselves without regard to any of the other employees. Even though that employee may not call that applicant for hours or days. Managers do not seem to have control over the actions of the employees in the office and allow bad behavior to control.
What has happened to employees and/or managers treating each other fairly and working for the best outcome for the branch. The manager and each employee should want the other employees to also succeed. There are goals that need to be met and often times one employee will meet their goal and continue to take loans and take loans and not distribute them to employees who may not have met their goal. This is unfair and unreasonable treatment.
My observation is that the managers are poorly trained and equipped to handle any confrontation and stop it for good.
One day they are a friend and the next day they cut your throat.
I am familiar with several branches and the same type of behavior is condoned in all but one of them.
Upper management needs to take a look at this situation and stop the bad behavior.
Reason of review: Managers unable to manage employees. Managers who allow employees to stab each other in the back. .
