I had a negative experience with this particular branch in Blue Springs, MO. At the time I and my partner took out a small loan, we didn't use our cars as collateral thankfully. But 2 years later, I saw that the principal on the loan hadn't moved much and went online to look at our loan. Figured out that if I made our bi-weekly payments, the principal did go down with more applied to the principal and less to the interest.

I wished we had known about this company before we went in because at the time, we had friendly people at the branch until "Rick" took over. Then everything went to ***. We were making payments over the phone until one recent week at the of July, 2015 when "Rick" called more than 2 times a day everyday demanding a payment for the one we already made that month.

Once we pay off this loan, we will never do business with them again. The way they apply the payments to the loan sounded like a shady practice.

Illegal telephone tactics, high interest rates and bad customer service are sure winners to drive customers away from OneMain.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

OneMain Financial Cons: Customer service, Extremely high interest rate, Rude debt collector, Biggest nightmare.

After reading this review I feel it needs to be addressed. Having been in the financial industry companies can call up to 7 times.

A fact that this reviewer isn't aware of.

Second systems are in place where they can't call if a payment has been made.

Some things to think about.

Maybe the payment came back due to NSF?

Maybe the payments were behind a month and the bad caused this?

The loans are daily interest so you have to make sure you can't go more then 30 days without a payment

Maybe they were trying to rectify the account so the loan principal isn't being paid. ? Illiegal phone practices?

No. The reviewer stated called 2 times they can call up to 7 times High interest rates? The reviewer knew the rate when they signed the paperwork. Cannot go back against the company on this This company is in the industry where there are high interest rates.
