I live in N.J. and I was wondering if it was illegal to call my personnel phone and to call my work...when I asked them repeatedly to stop.

I have seen a commercial on TV from the law firm Morgan And Morgan that a debtor can sue for up to 1500 dollars per call.

This is a collateral loan that is close to being paid off , but I have been in the hospital and am struggling a bit. They overwhelmed my mail with offers to come in for more money as I paid it off, 2000, 2500,3500, 5000,and when I finally absolutely was desperate ( 23% interest), they said they don't offer that product anymore and I've been struggling ever since

If you ask them to no longer call your job, they must follow your request. I highly suggest you let the office know you are going through difficult times.

Let them know of your situation and follow up with them every so often to let them know if your situation has changed or not.

They have the right to know since they help you with your financial needs. Good luck!
